This place was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in the staff are unbelievably ignorant and rude aswell as the conditions not being overly good no shampoo provided and one small towel and wasn’t allowed any more given to me very unhappy .

My partner booked this hotel room for the one night, After the door was finally unlocked (1:30) when check in was 1:00. We were greeted in a so called “reception” which really looked like a dumping ground for the linen and other crap. After we checked in headed up the elevator to the 1st floor…. The walls were filthy! And let’s say the smell of cigarettes in a (non smoking) hotel weren’t very pleasant. The room looked like it was barely cleaned, hair was on the wall, fecal remains from the previous person left in the toilet and the amount of dust and mould were absolutely atrocious. Also another note booking this room it offered PRIVATE parking. The parking behind the building were not overnight, so we had to park our car overnight on the streets. As we wanted to check out early, we headed down to the reception to hand back our keys and the reception wasn’t open until 9am! So after a horrible night we decided to leave our room keys under the door and walk away. If I could rate this hotel a 0/10 I would in a heartbeat, I definitely will not be recommending this to anyone.

Hmm where to start. The first thing we noticed as we walked in the room was a large couch that didnt fit in the space. It was so badly stained that we made sure we didnt accidentally place any of our personal clothes or items on it. 🤢 There was a strange, toilet smell on entry and thankfully we could open up the windows to air out room. Pubic hairs in the shower rounded out our stay. Bathroom has been renovated but with shoddy workmanship. Mugs/cups were doll size. Bed was comfortable, Great location but unfortunately cleanliness and hygeine was lacking.

Some of the old reviews for this place had us a little concerned but we needn't have worried. We stayed here for a weekday getaway special and were very happy with the few days we stayed there. It is in a convenient location. Walking distance to the Northbridge and City restuarants and pubs. The is a CAT bus stop on the road behind the hotel if you don't want to walk into the city. It is about a 5 minute walk to the train station. The room was very very clean and fresh, the view wasn't great but it is a budget hotel. There was minor issue with the room but this was fixed after mentioned in to the reception desk. The reception desk is not manned 24 hours a day but it was easy enough to get in and out with the swipe card. The staff were always very welcoming and helpful. We wish we could have stayed a couple of more day but had to get back to work

We booked city lights because the reviews were quite positive. Location is in northbridge and has lots of Asian influenced restaurants surrounding it. - check out online states 8-11am, we were told 10am and had to pay a $100 deposit which wasn’t listed or written anywhere - the venue is filthy and our room was pretty gross. - when we opened the curtains old clothes including underwear where on the ground. -our aircon was shocking and struggled to be cool at all. Yes the venue is cheap but I do think the basics like cleanliness and aircon should be at an acceptable level. Would we stay again, No.
